After receiving bids for operation of the Jessamine County Animal Shelter on March 16th 2010 the Fiscal Court tabled consideration of those bids in order to consider the option of the County operating the Shelter instead of contracting for that service. At that time they directed 4th District Magistrate George Dean to gather information and draft a proposal for a County Run Shelter. Magistrate Dean presented his proposal on October 19th 2010.
