2003-2005: Chairman, Camp Nelson Restoration and Preservation Foundation

• Mapped Camp Nelson trail system.
  
• Worked with Boy Scout Eagle Degree candidates on trail development.
  
• Worked on negotiations for purchase of Hickman Creek Nature
  and Conference Center.
  
• Worked with contractors, archaeologists and staff on the reconstruction of Fort Putman.
  
• Designed and worked with local builders on construction of
  Camp Nelson Interpretative Center.
  
• Designed and worked with Jessamine County employees on construction of displays for the interpretative center museum.
  
• Worked with architects and contractors on design and construction of a 4,000 s/f Civil War barracks and resource
  library at Camp Nelson.
